This picture started with just a pair of really detailed lips. and the lips have changed immensely after creating the entire piece.

it was mostly all detailed at 50% so yes it does look really sloppy up close :D

this is not my usual style or coloring either. but i think its cool anyways.

it was originally going to be a masquerade type mask. and then it became ram horns :XD:

dont ask about the eye, it is melting the mask.


SKTAF and Macho ">.<;" took about 6 hours i guess altogether. i spent about 4 on it today.

PS- the title was the only thing i could come up with. She made me think of Africa, and alchemist. thus... "African Alchemist" isn't that genius ?

:noes: This piece is awesome!

I love how it started with lips and somehow turned into this. :XD: That's pretty sweet. The fact that it's so detailed is amazing.

I adore Venetian masks, and this would make a pretty awesome one if someone made it. The horns, the feathers (ohgosh I love the way you used those feathers) the creepy eyeholes :XD:

The only thing I can say about this is that the distance from the eyes to the nose is too short. It's not too noticeable, though, especially with the mask. Plus, I don't want to judge that part much, especially since you hadn't planned on this being what it is now when you started.

and yeah that's what another person said :giggle: and well it could be a LOT better ;)

and i like masks too. the ONLY THING that really REALLY creeps me out above all horrific things are those masks that have the long bird beaks. (usually white) i hate those masks. they freak me out. and i dont know why :XD: and yeah i like the feathers too. look so fluffy and soft lol

and yeah the nose sucks anyways so i dont care at this point :P i'm not great with realistic proportions yet DAMN ANIME! :shakefist:

............ Guess it's a good thing you've never met my OC Cetan, then. :rofl: He wears a bird mask and it has a beak. Not one of those super long beaks (I know what you're talking about, and I sort of like them... at the same time I'm being creeped out by them :XD:) so it might not freak you out, but still.

well short ones no worries. long beaks i hate them. i dont know why i really really really dont know why :XD:

never seena movie with them or read a pic about them. :shrug: its like why!?

just always have been. i know old doctors used to wear them to shield themselves from germs :XD:

but i dont know if that was their original use ;P
