An anatomy project. i asked my teacher to give me an assignment like a 'real' client would as i hate making up shit off the top of my head. So he gave me nymphy/ladybug scenario. I went through about 4 thumbs and my friend liked none of them (he's comic artist) and we discussed and came up with this more dramatic approach (which is essential for eyecatching book cover)
I had to use 'live' model for this so i took a picture of myself in this post for reference, ladybugs from DA as reffs, trees from google, and the rest was made up
I've been sick for a week and half almost. miserable i got sick last wednesday coughing/lungs and the same day i pulled my back out by laughing too hard at my friend's stomach gurgling loudly in quiet english class after a Krystal's lunch (never ever again!!!!). So i was on heating pad, salonpas, and meds for three days. had a concert to go to that saturday night. by sunday i could hardly talk. started to get better from coughing/lungs and woke up this morning it has all transitioned into the runny nose/sneezing all day now................. *slashwrists*
hope you like my painful 10 hours of work on this bitch!
EDIT: revamped a good bit of the image. Put the whole bug in instead of the top part. pulled the perspective back, worked on trees, fixed her wings, added more reflective lighting, sun rays, grass etc. i like this piece a lot actually. it's not perfect but i see improvement
EDIT: Nov. 11- worked with levels in photoshop, removed ugly lady bugs, worked on trees, fixed some minor & anatomy issues.
thanks i tried on this picture haha firt background too. Check out my journal (posted yesterday). I've asked for some linearts to paint for fun/practice XD
I really love the perspective of this piece.
