What does love mean to me ?


Here is a simple explanation of this poster and what it portrays.

This contest isn't about me trying to only win anything or to only promote a movie. This contest allows me to share my story with LOTS of other people... The girl and boy represent my boyfriend and me. We have known / been together for almost two years on August 4th 2009 (ironically enough that's 3 days before the Release of Paper Heart). As represented by the Flags, I am from the US and he is from the UK.

We met online like lots of people do everyday.. but something just clicked between us and after a few weeks we were calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend. Love to me isn't some game you just play with luck or no luck. Its a life long passion and desire you have for someone. Love isn't hard unless you make it hard, love isn't a burden unless you let it be, and love isn't a game.. and if it is, its not "true love".

I feel that we met for a reason and i am thankful that the Lord has placed this guy into my life. When we met each other we both were at the pit of our lives.. suffering from depression and confusion. We helped each other and we fell in love with each other...

now i know you're thinking "how the heck do you date or love someone who lives in another country?!" ... well its hard... (if we let it be) but he and i have met twice since we've been togther. this past summer and the one before that. He stayed with my family for 3 weeks both summers we talk to each other EVERYDAY on IM and webcam with each other and mic with each other too...

the reason we dotn fall apart is because we know love takes work, dedication, devotion, time, and responsibility. I am young and not even out of high school yet and he is older and finished school but that doesn't keep us with our differences. We both grew up in two different countries, two different part (hes from teh north, and i'm from the south) but it works... and now i have a promise ring on my finger! <3

SOOOooo... dont let responsibility, laziness, or fear keep you from loving someone. Dont let it stop you. I dont care if its love for a sibling, a bf/gf, a pet, a friend, a parent, husband /wife or a tree... love them no matter what because if you dont you're missing a great part of a life. and Dont be afraid if you're gay or bi or lesbian either!!! That doesn't exclude you because There are lots of people in the world just like you too and they will love you for you
